We believe that when women and youth are empowered, families thrive, communities grow stronger, and nations move forward.
Churchere Komonibo (Founder, CEO)
PAWAYDI was born out of a deep concern for the social and economic challenges facing women and young people across Africa. These challenges—limited access to education, unemployment, inequality, and exclusion—continue to hold back individual potential and community progress.
What started as a small advocacy effort has grown into a mission-driven organization committed to practical solutions. Over the years, PAWAYDI has expanded its focus to include empowerment programs, leadership development, education support, and community engagement.
Our journey has been guided by one simple belief: lasting change is possible when people are given the tools, confidence, and support to shape their own futures.
PAWAYDI takes a community-centered and people-focused approach to development. We work closely with local communities to understand their real needs and co-create solutions that are practical and sustainable.
Our approach includes:
We prioritize solutions that empower people to take ownership of their growth and development.
Across Africa, women and young people remain key drivers of development—yet many are still underserved and unheard. PAWAYDI exists to bridge this gap by creating inclusive opportunities and advocating for policies and systems that support growth, equality, and dignity.
Our work is not just about today. It is about building a future where every woman and young person has the opportunity to thrive.
